Taos Center for Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine has changed its name to Center for Physical Health, as part of a rebranding. The name change, combined with a new affiliation with Taos Health Systems, will allow the center to convey its mission in a consistent message to the community, as well as share system resources. The Center for Physical Health will still be providing the same great physical therapy in Taos.
“We’re excited about the name change. We chose to change the name for a few different reasons but primarily to really capture the essence of what we do here and allow for growth,” said Michael Bone, Executive Director of Physician Practices. “The name change was designed to identify and strengthen consumer recognition of all that the center offers, it is much shorter making it easier to remember, and it provides recognition that Center for Physical Health is part of a larger health system.”
Center for Physical Health offers physical therapy, rehabilitation, and sports medicine, as well as specialty services in women’s health, spinal manipulation, vestibular/vertigo, the Bowen technique for pain, and function capacity evaluations.
The new shorter name became effective June 1, 2014 at the beginning of the new fiscal year. Along with the name change, the Center has also incorporated electronic health records and a “patient portal,” allowing more convenience and a better patient experience.
Center for Physical Health has a brand new name, but offers the same great physical therapy with three convenient locations: the main office on Weimer Road across from Holy Cross Hospital, a location inside Taos North Side Health and Fitness Center, and an office in Angel Fire inside the Moreno Valley Medical Center.
